Along with her love of creating beautiful interiors, Jami is a licensed general Contractor in California and Colorado. Before starting her interior design and home building business, Jami spent a year studying art history abroad in Switzerland, Italy, and France. She then worked as the in-house interior designer for two years with Fukui Kasumi Architects and Engineers in Tokyo, Japan, before starting her home building company, White Dove Development, in Pacific Palisades, California. Her work was featured nationally with CNN correspondent Lisa Ling on PBS and NBC, where she hosted an episode of "Square Feet." Jami is a passionate interior designer, home builder, and world traveler. She recently launched Curated Home Furnishings (curatedhomefurnishings.com), featuring exquisitely made furniture by the world's best artisans and manufacturers and Fine Art by world-renowned sculptor and painter Guy Ferrer.
Vision
In 2004, Jami designed her logo based on the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a Hellenistic sculpture made of Parian marble that dates back to the beginning of the 2nd century BC (190 BC) and represents the goddess Niké (Victory). Jami first saw it on a trip to Paris in the Louvre Museum when she was eight before studying the origin of the sculpture and her love of art history when she attended school in Europe. The logo has deep, profound spiritual meaning for Jami, symbolizing who she is as a human being. The golden circle represents God and all creation at the center of her soul, with positive energy emanating outward. The second solid circle symbolizes Jami's unwavering moral values and beliefs. The third circle begins at Jami's conception with axis points reminiscent of a compass symbolizing direction: forward, backward, up, or down. The most vital axis point, symbolizing God's intention for Jami, begins before her birth, moving in a positive, Northern direction, guiding her mind, body, and soul with wings carrying her onward and upward.

Philanthropy
"To whom much is given, much will be required"
Luke 12:48
Jami's experience in construction began at a young age when her father would bring the entire family to Mexico to hand-build orphanages for the poorest of the poor. Since then, Jami has learned that by giving a hand up, not a handout, she can help others less fortunate create their homeownership dreams. Jami has helped hundreds of less fortunate families build their dream homes through Habitat for Humanity. As a former Los Angeles chapter board member, she has built homes in Los Angeles, Mexico, and India since 1997. Jami had the privilege of building 100 houses in Lonavala, India, alongside President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Her philanthropy has included supporting cancer and Alzheimers research. She currently donates her time and resources to people struggling with cancer in the Roaring Fork Valley with Pathfinders organization.
